Stephen Berkley (a.k.a. Stevie) has spent thirty years in media wearing multiple hats—everywhere from writing copy for the fledgling MTV Networks to negotiating legal agreements for Aaron Spelling Television.

His most recent work, a documentary film made for PBS entitled Life With Ghosts, began with the death of Stephen’s father, when shortly afterward his mother began reporting interactions with whom she believed to be his father’s ghost. It was a real-life Mrs. Muir situation which raised the question: Are ghosts real phenomena, or merely hallucinatory grief symptoms?

The film attracted a wide following on social media after winning multiple awards including Best Documentary and Best Feature Film, and sparked public interest in the grief treatments featured in the film—leading Stephen to launch a podcast and co-host classes and workshops to dive deeper into grief healing and after-death communication.

Life With Ghosts is now a growing platform for conversation about love, loss, and maintaining loving connections beyond death.
